Coach Lance
Lance will attend 9th grade at Fort Bend ISD Medical Academy in Fall 2024. Lance discovered his passion for chess at the age of 10, inspired by a 10 years old chess master. From that moment, he immersed himself in the world of chess, dedicating countless hours to studying the game and honing his skills. Lance’s journey as a competitive chess player began at the age of 12 when he entered his first tournament. Since then, he has accumulated years of experience competing at various levels, from local to city wide championships.
Drawing from his extensive tournament experience and deep understanding of chess strategies, Lance approaches coaching with a blend of patience, expertise, and enthusiasm. He tailors his methods to suit the individual needs and goals of each student, whether they are beginners seeking to grasp the fundamentals or advanced players aiming to refine their tactics. Lance has a rating of 1500.
